Essex Non-Profit Homes Inc. purchased 131 houses in Essex, Ontario, after the previous owner fell into receivership and many of the original occupants had left. Unfortunately, due to the extent of disrepair some of the houses were in, we were forced to demolish 10 of the homes. We currently rent 120 single-family houses, have 10 vacant lots, and 1 house is being used as the on-site office. We are committed to keeping the houses in the affordable housing market and available for those in need.

Homestarts has been hired by Essex Non-Profit Homes to manage the houses. Homestarts is responsible for the day to day running of the organization; marketing the units, collecting rents, ensuring the units are safe and maintained in good repair, etc.
